David Townsend 

One day he decided he could write better than the library book he was reading. He liked telling stories, so he sat down and wrote one. The Canberra National Times Short Story Competition was advertised, so, just for fun, he sent in his story. It won. 

That was “The Man In Black”. 

Over the years he wrote other stories and a Christmas sequence. All of these were published. 

David was educated at Geelong Grammar in Australia. He spent many years as an Anglican Priest. During this time he began writing and discovered a natural gift for hypnosis. He pracised for many years as a Hypnotherapist. He lives in Healesville, Victoria.

He grew up knowing he was dyslexic. It wasn’t until later in his life he was diagnosed with Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder, which he says, explains a lot about his confused life.
